Structure
The European Express Association (EEA) is divided into three committees which deal with the main policy issues affecting the express industry in Europe. Being a multi-modal operator, the policy issues which impact the express industry naturally span a broad range of areas.
The three committees are: Trade & Facilitation Committee,Transport & Environment, and Security.
Each committee has a chairman and employs the services of a full-time secretariat. The work of the committees is overseen by a Board of Directors which co-ordinates strategy and overall direction for the association.
The EEA takes part in working groups and consultations with decision-makers and also regularly works with industry coalition partners on policy topics.
The EEA also has very close links with the Global Express Association (GEA) which represents the international express delivery companies that serve over 215 countries, carrying over 30 million packages each day.
