The European Express Association Webinar for national express associations and their members

The impact of the Express Industry on the EU Economy

The European Express Association (EEA) invites the National Express Associations and their members to a webinar on the impact of the Express Industry on the EU Economy. This online briefing will present the key findings from a study commissioned to examine the impact the express industry has on the EU economy. Both the EEA and Oxford Economics will present a clear picture of the size, scope and direct and indirect impact of the express delivery sector in the European Union. The study reinforced the idea that the European express industry is a vital part of the European economy, through its scale as an employer and generator of economic activity, particularly through the way it facilitates intra-European and international trade, resulting in greater supply chain efficiency. Looking ahead, the significance of the sector is only likely to grow further.

The EEA welcomes your participation in this webinar which will include a speech by Stephanie Meyer-Van Breukelen, Chair EEA, where she will share her unique insights into this important report for express industry. The key findings of the report will be presented by Rob Harbron, Associate Director at Oxford Economics, where he has led many high profile economic impact studies in the transport, aerospace and manufacturing sectors. This webinar will be moderated by Mark van der Horst, Director EU Affairs, UPS Europe. This will be followed by a short questions and answers session. We encourage you to submit questions in advance.

The Webinar will take place on Thursday, October 29 between 11:00 and 12:00 via Zoom. Registered participants will be sent a link to join the webinar.
